Question
Dear All Experts Board:

I wrote to this site, for its Expert advice. I asked a self-proclaimed "expert" on Affirma. Action, Civil Rights a question. Very simple question. It is a matter of THE CONGRESSIONAL RECORD, that 27 Democratic Senators, and 93 Democratic House members, I believe, voted AGAINST THE 1964 CIVIL RIGHTS ACT. Those are the facts. They are a matter of History.

Even though MOST people of a certain political persuasion DON'T WANT IT TO BE PUBLICIZED. They would rather it "go away", like the Facts that virtually ALL the Slave-owners, were Democrat Party Members. Democratic Plantation Owners, Democratic people going North, to fight their own family members, for the "right" to OWN African-Americans, to enslave, chain, and abuse them.
Democratic people assasinating Lincoln, and Forming the Ku Klux Klan, like present-day "Elder Statesman of the Democrat Party" Robert Byrd, of W. Virginia. Byrd, Al Gore's father, and Richard Russell are the ONLY THREE DEMOCRATS that anyone will name?

WHY, in AMERICA, supposedly a Land of Freedom, CAN WE NOT KNOW. THE OTHER TWENTY-FOUR DEMOCRAT SENATORS?  I think it is an AFFRONT TO FREEDOM, that these FACTS OF HISTORY ARE NOT TAUGHT IN SCHOOL, AND NOT AVAIABLE ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB!  I AM WRITING various members of Congress and Senate, to Uncover this conspiracy.  Someone here gave the excuse, "I don't do homework questions". I am 50 years old, it's been a while since I did homework. But I want to THANK that person, John, for making me 10 times as DETERMINED, to bring these facts to the Internet Public.
Thank You.

But all I ASKED, was "Can someone give me the NAMES of these 27 Democratic Anti-Civil Rights Senators, that FOUGHT agaist Lyndon Johnson, when the Republicans had to STOP the Democratic FILIBUSTER?

Answer
Mike,

As I noted in my reply to the All Experts Board, it is not my place to research a list of names for whatever purpose unless there is a question involved with regard to employment harassment, discrimination, or if it is EEO or Labor Relations based.  My expertise is in the field of EEO, Diversity, and of course Civil Rights but only in the context of employment.  Since your query was not in the area of employment and did appear to be a homework question based upon wanting pure historical information, that is why I sent the automatic reply that is available to us who volunteer our time to answer these questions.

Two areas that you can look at which will have this information:  The United States Senate has a website that has roll call votes for every bill that they vote on and it lists the Senators who voted.  I would also suggest that you write or call your Senator who has a liaison which will help you obtain this information probably in a matter of minutes.  I would also suggest that you contact the NAACP Headquarters in Baltimore would have that information readily available since they have a large historical library available to them.  Their number is:  (410) 366-3300
