Question

Zulu Secret Mask
I have obtained a South African "secret" mask and I have attached a picture in hopes that you may have more information on this particular piece. I have only been able to find one site with information:
http://www.africancraftsmarket.com/African-Zulu-masks.htm - I have researched the Zulu people in hopes to find more information, but they were not known particularly for carving masks, but for their bead work.

If you know anything about this object please let me know :)

Sorry, can't help you on this topic. I know through my travels I saw lots of different types. The types in central africa they make with 'ropes' for hair. To be honest i don't think this is so much a south african mask, like you have mentioned. Try information more central africa. .... If you mean the tribe Zulu. They are in  South Africa, but they originated more north.
