Africa/length of stay in Ghana on a visa

Question
How long can I stay on a visitor's visa in Ghana?  My wife and I are interested in spending two months in Accra as part of our time Africa beginning in January, 2009.

Answer
Hi Robert,

Off hand, I can't answer this question, but the answer can be readily found on the consulate website for Ghana.  Use Google to find it.

In general, the African countries are concerned about two things regarding Americans and Europeans visiting their countries:  1) health matters--proper immunizations mostly, and 2) sufficient funds for repatriation--proof of round trip airline tickets.  However, the length of stay is often related to the cost of the visa, just as airline ticket pricing normally is, so consider this when deciding how long to stay.

Good luck and safe travels.  Africa will surely provide a learning experience not possible elsewhere on the planet.
