Question
hi i want to travel to Nigeria and i want to stay in touch with people at home and they want to see me but i been told web cams are band and camera phones is this true coz i cant find any thing on the net saying they band if u cant help me do u know who could

Answer
I'm not the last word on this issue, but a quick Google on this topic reveals that cell phones are indeed quite popular in Nigeria, but that the national government may have increasing concerns about the SPAM export for which Nigeria is famous world-wide.  Lagos has some wealthy neighborhoods, and broadband is probably available in a few places, but in general I would not expect enough bandwidth to service web cams.  When you first arrive in Nigeria, visit a local internet cafe and ask them these questions.  Hope this helps...
