Question
wondering about the cost of business visa for a US citizen--I have heard that it is $2000 USD for 30 dys..seems a bit expensive to me.I have also been told you are .unable to use credit cards in accra ghana to purchase
electronics or other items...

Answer
All visas issued by the Ghanaian Embassy are business visas and should cost less than $100. All visas issued are good for a 60 day stay once you land in Accra.

Credit cards are only accepted in major hotels and finer restaurants - besides, you really shouldn't use credit cards in Ghana as the potential for fraud is extremely high. Bring an ATM card as you can withdraw cash from most international banks such as Barclay's, StanChart, etc..
