Is it worth do it in a month or I will miss to many things?
thanks

Answer
Hi Ceclia,

Yes, it is certainly possible and worth it if you are only going one-way.  We did a loop by public bus and minivan from/to Accra, Ghana through Burkina Faso and parts of Mali during a 30 day trip.  We spent extra days in places here and there, but were also on the road much of the time.  It was a great adventure.  The buses are cheap and safe enough, though one should plan in an extra day or so for the possibility for vehcle breakdown or delay.  Hotels are few and poorly kept by American standards, but each major destination has at least one place with a/c and decent restaurant.  This region is about the size of the Western United States, so plan your itinerary carefully to get the most out of this trip.  I have plenty of additional text and photos for specific towns and cities on my virtualtourist.com pages under the user name atufft.  Others can provide specifics for Senegal, where I have some familiarity by way of travel research but have not been.  I estimate that your trip from Ghana to Senegal should have a slightly shorter total mileage and so a less hectic pace than our trip did, depending upon the route you take.  If you need additional help please don't hesitate to ask.
