Hi  ,

   I have been given a fantastic opertunity to live and work in Capetown South Africa with my long term girlfriend.My Visa to reside has been granted and my work visa will be granted as soon as i arrive in Capetown in January.I have my shipping ect allready booked to leave the U.K in December,I need however an open plane ticket as my Visa to reside is held in South Africa to be varified with my passport and i cant enter the country without a return ticket. I have searched the airlines and nothing is mentioned about open tickets!  Can you advise me?

you can get a return ticket but just make sure it can be changed, most tickets can be changed except for the cheapest types. You can give any return date and you can change this at a later date however it will only be valid for up to a year. Speak to one of the big companies such as trailfinders and explain your situation. Maybe a silly question but why has your employer not sorted your flight out?
