Answer
Kelsey,

Im sorry I cannot answer this question. This is a very "heavy subject". Let me rephase that, I can answer this question. like I said this is "heavy". I dont feel comfortable speaking on this subject at least in a article because I dont have a PHD. If you wanted to know out of your own curiousity then I will tell you. but this  would be a scholary article and this is out of my expertise. for an article like this you need someone who either has a PHD in African-American studies, Sociology, or any other relative field. Plus it would give your article more credibility.  I would reccomend that you ask a professor of Black studies. Not necessarily from your school but maybe others. For example Temple University I hear has a excellent black studies program and excellent professors. You can go to any universitie's website, look at the list of black studies professors (if they have them) and email them. You should get a response from somebody. Because most of the African-American professors I know are very passionate about the subject and are eager to speak out. They can help you..not me.  I hope that you understand. Good Luck!!!
