As far as the crab barrel syndrome in blacks I have not seen it, my family, friends, and people around me have always been supportive of my endevors. Im sorry but I have not experienced it. Futhermore, I dont see the "crab barrel syndrome", being attached to any race of people for the matter. I think that it depends on the "enviroment" doesnt matter if u are black,white, blue or purple. If you are around non-supportive or jealous people of ANY RACE they are going to try to pull you down, it is simple as that please dont make this a black and white issue cause it is not. As far as most black women being fat, that is the most silliest thing that I heard. Im a very slim black woman and so are the women in my family, I see slim black women all the time, I see medium framed black women, and I see big black women. never one more than the other. this goes the same for white women, latina women, ect. It really depends on your genetics and your diet that decides your weight, simple as that. I really believe John you are basing your judgement off of stereotypes. Get in the habit of seperating the people from the problem/issue. and you will see things more clearer
