Question
Greetings,
I am 26 and I am starting to see little wrinkles! Isn't that too soon to be seeing wrinkles? I would be ok with it if I was 35 but 26?! I eat healthy, exercise a couple of times a week and this past couple of months I have been taking more care of my skin, hair and teeth. I always mositurize my skin and use treatment under my eyes. I use sunscreen to protect myself from the sun but not as much during the winter time. I think next year I will start using this special treatment that eliminates wrinkles and stops aging. A certain tool and I heard great reviews on it!
Do you have an tips or tricks to elimiate or slow down aging? Vitamins is always good.

Answer
Hello Alison

I see that you are trying! to slow/fight the processes of aging. That is good. It is a lifetime battle, to say the least.

To slow down aging even more, you have to push your physical strength up higher than normal and keep pushing your metabolism up. This is readily achievable by combining weightlifting and aerobics into one exercise. The best way to do this is to use a horizontal leg press machine. Other choices is rowing machines, stationary bicycle, walking with hand weights, etc.

I am not sure what equipment you have. Or whether or not you could attend a gym. If you could give more information, I can give more ideas.

Expertise

At age 33, I began to worry about "turning 40." I decided to do something - anything! - before I was 'over the hill' in life and health. I figured that once you turn "age 40," life was 'over,' and you spend the next 40 years rapidly aging and "falling apart." If you were lucky, the 'blessing' of death would come before it was too late!! I am now 59 (May, 11!) and I am enjoying life more than I ever had. How wrong - mentally - I was! When I became STRONGER - physically - everything got better for me. "Growing old" is NOT a 'natural process.' It is a terrible disease you have to FIGHT each day.

Experience

Proper exercise is the answer to "aging well." I have been exercising for 29 years and I have 'first-hand' experience at to what works, and what does not. Especially for older people like myself. Good health does NOT come from sitting in a stuffed chair, 'weightlifting' by lifting soup cans and watching "Murder She Wrote..." This was advised to me by a federal agency for aging seniors! GIVE me a BREAK!! You can also find me on Allexperts under weightlifting and "how to get what you want in life."

Organizations
AARP. Yea, I finally joined! My wife's idea; not mine!

Education/Credentials
I have an Associate of Science Degree in General Business.
