Question
hi, i am moving to talent to a house on a 2 acre lot and would love to start a veggie garden!!! i read your answer to the question posted and you said to have the pH in the soil tested, where would i have it tested or how do i test it? Also i would love a recommendation on what grows well in that area or in general.

Your can take soil samples; dig one foot deep, save about one-half of a pint in a bag from the bottom of the hole. Do this to about eight test plots. Take this sample to the County Extension Office, they are isted in the telephone book. Also the people there can give you information what you can grow there.
With the climate in Talent you can grow almmost anything you may want to eat. Some of the plants will need to be started in small containers to give them a longer growing season.
Best of luck,
Richard
