Question
What is wrong with my plants when the leaves turn yellow?   One plant does not have a tomato started but has several blossoms. Then they dry up. The other one has one tomato. I have a banana pepper plant that has the leaves turn yellow and drop off but has new growth on the top. I have sprayed with sevin.

Answer
Dear Shirley,
I never use chemical products, I'm all natural, but that aside.  Usually when leaves turn yellow it is a problem of excess.  Either too much water or too much fertilizer.  Try adding some more soil around the base of the plant.
I hope your plants respond positively.
Kind Regards,

Expertise

I can answer questions in regard to a "basics" approach to agriculture. My husband and I are Messianic missionaries and live on a hobby farmette. We don't have a pesticide or antibiotic on the place. I can answer questions about a simple agricultural lifestyle that affords great independence and abundant tranquility.

Experience

Our agricultural methods are Bible based, we use the term Orthodox organic. We live what we teach.
