Agriculture/Earthwrms in my driveway

Question
Hello,
Everyday the last five days I have about forty new dead earthworms on my driveway. I have not treated my lawn since early April.  While we had an unusually wet spring it has not rained significantly in over a week.  The phenomenon seems to be contained to my yard as my neighbors do not have the same issue.  I have "saved"  several worms and they appear to be healthy, my lawn seems to be healthy.  Any answers would be appreciated.

To my knowledge the only time I know earthworms to leave an area is because it is too wet. Would there happen to be a broken water line in your lawn?
Could there be an eletricial short that is making them leave?
You also said you treated your lawn in early April, what did you treat it with? If it is something that might burn them that would make them leave that area.
Other than those items I can not think why earthworms would leave a healthy lawn.
