Question
About how long can a potato last in a room temperature environment before it begins to decompose?

Answer
Madison
That question depends on a lot of things. If the potato was treated so that it will not sprout it will turn green,In less then two months it might start to rot. If it is washed that could let some bacteria enter from a crack and start to rot in two weeks. Just a common potato kept at room temperature and not in direct shunshine should last a month, maybe a month and a half.
Set one out and see how close I came to the time.
