can you help me and tell me why people cant bring fruits from other countries because they are concerned about bugs but when pinnapples and other meats fish or fruits are brought in they dont care. we cant bring them in but the stupid government can. cfie and the government make laws that dont make any sense. hope you can answer that. if we where one country that would not happen.

Dear Sylvie,
I tried to answer this earlier, but had connection issues.  I have two trains of thoughts pertaining to your question.
One, the government makes the laws for the people, so the government is not held to the laws it makes, but rather exists above the laws, unfortunately.  Two, whomever controls the food, controls the people.  With the laws about bringing in food, the powers that be will know where the food is and control how much is available.
