growing,maintaining a garden,farm .

First you must know what is in demand in your area. Then you need to know how much land you can farm with the amount of money you have. Who will pack and market what you raise. How much labor will it take to raise it and put it in the market place. Where will you get the money to purchase the seed, fertilizer, irrigation equipment,machinery and advertisement? Once you know that all of this is available then you can start.
