Question
Hello Richard,

I have a question concerning what can be grown in arrid lands. I purchased several acres of land in Bonaire. There is little rain fall but lots of land. Can you provide me with somwhere I can send soil samples to determine what needs to be done to somehow make the soil usable for anything.

Thanks for your attention to this.

Eddie

Answer
Hi Eddie,
If I knew where "Bonaire" was I might be able to help you more. Most of the counties have a County Extension Office that could supply you with some information. If there is a fertilizer company in the area they could also help you find what you need. Is there any farms in the area? What do they grow? If you have water and a long enough growing season, you should be able to grow many different crops.
Good Luck,
Richard
