Question
Hello,

Assuming that 2005 will be a very hot year, what would be the expectation of the effect of this hot weather on the growing of corn and wheat ?

Thank you for your time.

If you have irrigation and have a good stand to shade the ground, you might get a good crop. Without any irrigation your best bet would to get the corn and wheat planted as soon as possible to help shade the ground and harvest what you can. The damage will come late when the heat will shrivel the kernels and that will cause them to be under the grade standers.
I'll probly be in the same situation as you, we may not have enough irrigation water for the summer. There is only about 35% snow pack in the mountains for our run off.
Good luck,
Richard
