Question
My husband and I are building outside the city on lakefront property.  Before we build we would like our land (soil) tested to make sure it is suitable for a foundation.  Can you advise us as to who does such work?

The only person that I could think of would be a building contracter. Anyone who has built in a area would know what kind of foundation to use. If you intend to plant a graden the county extension could test the soil to see what it might need to grow plants.
