Question

i have got a 2 stroke Flymo XLT 25cc strimmer. The first problem i have is it when i start it it dies. The only way i can keep it running is by flicking the choke from full to half and back to to full then back to half and keep doing that. it also pours blue smoke out when revving even when its hot.

can you help me

Answer
Toby,
Lets start with the easy parts first. Is the air cleaner clean? Did you put in a new spark plug? Next lightly close the screw by the carburetor, open one-eighth turn, try to start it. You will need to choke it. When it starts to run let it warm up and then adjust by turning the screw in or out. Do this in small amount of turning and the wait to see how it runs.
Good luck,
Richard
