Air Quality/carbon monoxide

Question
Hi Jay,
Could you describe how a person can monitor their home from carbon monoxide/lead paints, radon and how excessive exposure adversely affects people?
Thanks

Answer
You can buy relatively inexpensive monitors for both radon and carbon monoxide (CO).  The CO monitors run all of the time (like smoke detectors).  I believe you have a choice with radon monitors, such as a short-term test kit, long-term test kit, and continuous monitor.  These are available on-line.  I don't believe there are many popular home testing options for lead.  Lead may be a compound that you need to have experts come to your house and analyze the air and dust.
