Question
Hello, I was just put into a lower arm and hand cast and am expected to travel to Europe in about 30 days.  Will the airline industry deny my travel for fear of blood clots in this situation?  Thanks!

Answer
Dear John,

There is nothing on the contract of carriage between passengers and the airlines that states that you can't travel when a cast is used. Also the "fear" associated with the air travel is based in the occurrence of thrombosis.
