Question
Hello my kids are born in Mexico and my husband is Norwegian, they have both Mexican and Norwegian passport, we are going to Australia but we will transit in the States, since Norway is the VWP ....I want to know since they are born in Mexico do they need a VISA to transit?

Answer
Dear Tania,

As you may know the US Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) temporarily suspended both the US Transit
without Visa (TWOV) and International-to-International Baggage Transfer (ITI) programs until further notice.

Your kids must present both the Mexican and the Norwegian passport at the airline counter in Mexico and the Norwegian to the US Authorities while in transit in the US.

The Australian visa is required for both nationalities i.e Mexican and Norwegian (in this case Visa or ETA - Electronic Travel Authority is required).

Please see www.eta.immi.gov.au and/or www.immi.gov.au for information on ETAs, e-676 Tourist Visas and the other types of visas that are available to visit Australia.

Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
R. Gomes
