Question
Hello,

I will be brief, I want to respect your time.  I am very close to a family, no relation at all.  The father was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he has like 4-6 months to live.  Obviously there is no way to book a flight when he passes and I fear paying last second airfare.

Is there anything I can do to get a cheaper rate?  I know you said in your bio. you do not give advice on pricing of airfare.  I was thinking this might be different.

Please let me know,
Thank you!!

Chris

Answer
Dear Chris,

Unfortunately, last minute fares are always expensive related to the ones booked in advance. But you can try - with the airlines that serves your itinerary - to get a discount based on the nature of your trip.

Best Regards,
