Question
My daughter is travelling to Mexico with a connection at Philadelphia.  Outward journey 8 January, reurning 18 Jan.  Is a visa required

Answer
American citizens do not need a visa to travel to Mexico.  Your daughter will need her passport.  If she doesn't have a passport, she will need a drivers license (or some other form of government issued photo ID) and her birth certificate in order to get back into the USA.
