Question
Hi Roberto,
We have a lay-over in USA for 2 hours going to Philippines with my family and they are holding canadian passport except me, i am still a phil. passport holder.Do i need a visa to get in USA while waiting for our flight?

Answer
Dona,

Since August of 2003 the U.S. Department of Homeland Security,   U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) suspended both the US Transit Without Visa (TWOV) and   International-to-International (ITI) programs until further notice. All aliens travelling to or through the United
States must be in possession of a valid visa.

The only expection is if flying Cathay Pacific between Hong Kong and Toronto via Anchorage, Alaska.

So you'll need a visa!

My best Regards,
R. Gomes
