Question
My wife is a Brazilian citizen and also an American citizen. Our daughter was born in the U.S. and has a U.S. passport, she is 19 months old.
We were told that Brazil considers our daughter a Brazilian citizen because my wife is from Brazil, and the she needs to have a Brazilian passport to enter the country.
We are unsure if this is accurate information and haven't been able to reach the consulate.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Answer
If you can prove that you are Brazilian, then you should be able to get a Brazilian passport.
I am not too familiar about this part of the immigration, but I can tell you that I am a Japanese American and I do havea Japanese Passport even tho I was not born in Japan.  '

That is my 2 cents.
