Air Travel/transit in usa with a desktop computer

Hello: I am in canada now and I just bought a desktop computer that I am planning to take with me next month that I have to come back to mexico, my airplane ticket to mexico is not a direct flight, I have to connect in usa, so my question is if you think that I will have troubles in usa because I do not know if I am allow to carry on with me a desktop computer, the price of the computer is $1150.00 canadian dollars. I will appreciate if you can give some information about this issue or let me know who can help me with this.

Dear Nancy,

Since the facility of transiting without a visa in the US is suspended, you'll need to clear Immigration and Customs. It is important that you fill out the Custom Form accordingly, i.e. specially the field that asks you the value of items that will remain in the US, in your case ZERO.
