Question
Hello. My husband and I are flying to Disney world in September. I have never been on a plane before and I am a bit scared. I was wondering what kinda baggage we are able to take onto the plane. We really dont want to pay the baggage claim. We will be flying on us airlines. Thanks.

Answer
Dear Crystal,

Airplanes are the second most secure way of transportation today, after the ... elevators.

You'll be able to transport in the passenger cabin no more than one bag that must fit under your seat or in the overhead bin and should not be more than 9 x 14 x 22 in. (23 x 35 x 56 cm) (length x width x height) or 45 linear inches* (114 linear cm).

Note that it may be required to travel as checked baggage if the bag cannot be safely stowed on a particular flight.

Also note that you MUST follow the TSA 3-1-1 for carry-ons:

3.4 ounce bottle or less (by volume);
1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag;
1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3.4 oz. container size is a security measure.

Hope this helped.
Best regards,
