Air Travel/private airports and passport control

Question
I'm writing a thriller and hope you can help me. Here's one of the scenarios: Passengers charter a small corporate jet to take them from a small, privately owned airport (really just a strip of land on someone's property) in France to a small, privately owned airport (another strip of land on someone's property) in Britain.
What passport controls would these passengers have to go through in France and Britain?
What kind of paperwork would the pilots have to fill out?
Thanks a lot,
Steve

Answer
That is a very interesting question and I like the idea of a story. Well, immigration and customs is very different from Europe to USA or any other international flights.  People who travel in the EU usually only show them the passport.  They usually have a separate terminal for the flights within the European Union.  (I live in the US and do not travel much inside EU)

I do not know if they go though customs but the security level may be lighter.  I once saw a passenger carry on meat products (salami) on a short leg from Germany to Italy.

This is alittle out of my expertize, srry.
