Question
I have a client who wants to purchase alcohol in duty free, carry it onboard Egypt Air and have a drink on his flight to Cairo.  Egypt air does not serve alcohol.  Will security allow him to purchase in Duty Free then carry on?  I have searched far and wide to get this answer?????

Answer
Dear Travelphyl,

Any goods purchased after the security checkpoint does not require any screening. This is the case of most Duty Free shops at airports, since they are located close to the gates.
As far as Egyptair procedures are concern, since they do not serve alcohol on board, I believe that it is unlike that they allow anyone to consume their own.
You can clarify this procedure with them.
