Question
Roberto,

My wife will be travelling back to the US from Spain, she has a spanish passport in her given Spanish name, however, her permanent resident alien (green) card is in her married name.  Will she have any problem travelling from Spain and entering the US?

thx

Dennis

Answer
Dear Dennis,

It will be better to update her passport since with the introduction of the Secure Flight, a perfect match is required. If she won't have time to do it, she will need to produce a form of identification that proves her condition, i.e. the marriage certificate.

Brgds,
