Question
I am planning to fly to Cairo,Egypt to visit my son who is teaching there. I am
an  infrequent flyer and have never travelled alone. i have not booked my trip
yet but will probably have a stopover in Rome ,Amsterdam or Istanbul.I am
concerned about getting to the right gate for the second leg in a country
where I do not speak the language. Also, if the second leg is on the same
airline,do they transfer my luggage to the second plane ?  Many thanks!!

Answer
Dear Elisabeth,

A seamless travel experience begins with the selection of airlines and the proper itinerary. Sometimes with cheap prices comes big problems.

As far as connections are concern, according to your plans you will be on a international connection and therefore there will no need to collect your baggage at the connecting city, depending of course on the airport and the airlines chosen. If they do not have what we call an interline agreement, you'll need to recheck again.

Also depending on your nationality, you'll need to check for visas.
If you can inform it along with your origin city will be easier to recommend you something.

Best Regards,
