Air Travel/the 3 oz container TSA rule

Question
Last I heard, the 3 ounce container rule was was still in effect. I have a favorite skin lotion that comes in an 8oz bottle so I couldn't travel with that. If I put some of it in a 3oz container would they not allow that either, since they wouldn't know what it is? Do people always have to buy everything over 3oz when they get to their destination? THanks

Answer
Hello and thank you for contacting me.
If you put your lotion in a 3oz bottle, then you CAN bring it in your carry-on.  You will just have to buy the 3oz bottle from a drug store or a local grocery store.
If you can put your 8oz bottle in your check in, you do not need to worry about it.

Hope this helped. Please rate my answer. :)
