QUESTION: Hi.....I am flying one way to Ecuador from Mexico ..I recently flew one way from Los Angeles to Mexico..I have a return ticket Los Angeles -Vancouver Canada in April.....I wish to maybe go to Uruguay while I`m in South America..That is why I bought my ticket to Mexico and Ecuador one way..Is this acceptable when enetering Ecuador?..I have had no problem so far....

To enter Uruguay according to the official travel info, there is no need to hold return or onward tickets.

All the information provided is official and came from a International Aviation Transport Association source called Timatic. This reference guide is used by all airlines in the world as a reference.

So it is up to the authorities (and normally the country flag carrier acts as a intermediate) if they change any regulation to provide and update the information currently available.

If you are still around Ecuador, please comment it with the airline manager on your way back.
Lots of customers might be refused for transportation if they do not update the records.
