Air Travel - 4 hours stay in athens airport (requied tranist visa)

Expert: Matthew Smith - 12/8/2007

Question
I have flight from Riyadh saudi arabai to Athens(Grece) and 4 hours stay then flight to Tunis. in such case i need tranist visa to enter Grece?
Please Answer me in this regard

Answer
I am not an immigration expert (especially of other Greece's visa rules) BUT you should not need a transit visa if you are just going to transfer flights.  If you wanted to leave the airport, you might need one.  However if you plan to simply fly in, wait in the terminal, and then fly right out, it's tough to imagine that Greece would demand that you get a visa.
