Air Travel/Air Travel for 4 Aboriginal Dancers from Perth
Expert: Roberto Gomes - 6/20/2006
QuestionHi Roberto: My name is Harriett Skye and I am the Acting Dean of Intertribal Programs at United Tribes Technical College, Bismarck, North Dakota. We are a small college that each September the weekend after Labor Day that hosts an annual international powwow and each year we bring in performers from across the world. This year we are hosting the "Wadumbah Aboriginal Dance Group (4 dancers) from the Noongar peoples in Western Ausdtralia. We know that they will be flying Quantos Air to Los Angeles, but we have been quoted so many different air fares we need more accuracy. They will be flying Perth, Sydney and then on to America. My question is is there any possibility that we can get reduced rates for our performers? Sincerely yours....
AnswerDear Harriett:
I normally do not answer questions regarding fares, mostly because they change a lot. But anyway I have two suggestions:
1. Check this link from Qantas website:
http://www.qantas.com.au/regions/dyn/au/globaldeals/PER
It is a special fare from Perth to Los Angeles. Travel period must be between 01NOV to 01DEC 2006 and sale of the ticket must be in the US and is valid until this Thursday (22JUN)
2. Call Qantas toll free at 1800 227 4500 to find the person responsible for sales/promotions and try to negotiate some kind of advertising during your powwow. Tell them how many persons will attend and other useful information to try to catch their attention. They may be interested to sponsor the trip of the dancers. Remember you must be persuasive to sell your product!
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
R. Gomes
