Question
Is it generally possible to get a refund on tickets as long as you notify the airline in advance?  Or does that policy vary from airline to airline?  I thank you for your help.

Answer
Dear Augusto,

Notification to airline is not a issue as far as to make sure that you will or will not get the refund.
Depending on the fare, day of the week, month and even itinerary, a ticket, according to the its rules is considered refundable or not.
Depending on the market served one or more airlines may have the same policy in order to offer a consistent product to this particular market.
When making reservations, please call the airline or your travel agent and always be aware of the regulations and restrictions applied to the ticket you will buy.
This can be helpfull if your travel plans are not flexible.

Best Regards,
