Question
My family is flying from LAX to Puerto Vallarta about a week before Thanksgiving '07 and returning the day after Thanksgiving. When should we buy the tickets?

Answer
Dear Bryan,

The earlier you make reservations and pay for your ticket the better is the chance to find cheapest fares. Although this may pose as and advantage, there are some cons:

1. Normally the cheapest fares have a lot of restrictions. Read the fare policy with attention.
2. You will have some days after you make the reservation to pay the ticket.
3. Depending on the airline, you won't be able to pre-reserve seats.
4. Also depending on the airline, you will not accrue mileage.

Hope this helps.
Best regards,
R. Gomes
