Question
Hi,
I hope that you can help me outhere, I have seen that United offer a class called Economy Access Plus where you get extra legroom either for being an elite milage member or buy purchasing membership to their scheme. I wonder iof you could tell me anything about the difference between this an standard economy so that I can decide if its worth paying the extra or not.

regards
Simon

Answer
Dear Simon,

SEAT PITCH is the distance between a row of seats - the measurement from the same position on two seats, one behind the other - it is NOT the legroom area as some believe. (For example, the back face of the seat in front of you, measured to the same point on the back face of the seat you are sitting in).

In United Airlines fleet, Economy Plus section varies from 35-36 inches versus 31-32 of the regular economy cabin.

Depending on the lenght of your flight, it's worth considering.

Best Regards,
