Air Travel/Videotape screened at airports

Question
Will I ruin video of my vacation when using carry-on or checked baggage? I want to take video of my grandchild while visiting and I am fearful of damage to the tapes because of the x-ray procedures. How best to transfer videotape to destination and back home again?

Thank you

Answer
Dear Gary,

Sorry for the late reply.
None of the screening equipment - neither the machines used for checked baggage nor those used for carry-on baggage - will affect digital camera images or film that has already been processed, slides, videos, photo compact discs, or picture discs.

Best Regards,
