Question
i am traveling to mexico for 4-6 months.  i have ms and sometimes use a wheelchair but not always.  if i dont happen to need it on the day of my flight and i check it in will it count as one piece of baggage? thanx, toni

Answer
Dear Toni,

Wheelchairs/scooters, braces or other assistive devices are normally accepted free of charge as checked baggage and are in addition to the normal checked baggage allowance. There are special handling procedures for motorized equipment.
Of this is your case please call the airline for the necessary arragments.

Best Regards,
