Since you did not informed the airline you're planning to travel with, below is American Airlines policy regarding traveling with children:
Children under 5 years of age may not travel alone under any circumstances. Another passenger at least 15 years of age must accompany them. The airline reserves the right to request documented proof of age for the adolescent accompanying a child under the age of 15.
Also I do not know your nationality. If you and your cousin hold US passports which must be valid for period of your intended stay. This also applies if holding passport issued in Guam.
Visa is not required for a stay of max. 3 months.
Visitor must hold return/onward ticket and all documents
required for next destination.
However, if passport states that visitor is born in El
Salvador: return/onward ticket not required.
Finally, it is advisable to have a letter signed by your uncle and certified by a notary stating that he authorizes your cousin to travel with you from ... to El Salvador and back to ...
Please reconfirm the above information with the airline or travel agent when doing reservations.
Hope this helps.
