Airsoft - Airsoft Team Sponsor?

Expert: Fred Riehl - 2/11/2007

Question
hi
I am in a airsoft team of 7 people and we are getting to the point were we need to get a sponsor.  how do you find sponsors?
were not big so we don't need a big sponsor just one that will help us

Answer
To find a successful sponsor in any sport you have to remember whats in it for the sponsor.  Then you need to present them a package of all the benefits that sponsoring your group will bring to them.

Since most sponsors are business they are generally not looking to sponsor just anyone.  You need to bring their business some exposure in the community or with potential buyers.

Before you apply for a sponsor besure and collect a complete package that explains all the following.

Who you are.
Where your located.
What's special about you or your group.
What clubs or organizations do you belong to.
What awards or accomplishments do you have.
How many people can you involve or expose your sponsor too?
What feedback can you provide?
What can you do for them to drive more sales or business.

Sponsorship should be a win win situation for both you and the sponsor.  If you are just looking for free stuff them looking for sponsorship is not for you.  Can you do something to help expand or expose a business to new customers then you may have something worth sponsoring!
