Question
we have a 5 yr old akita and a 5 yr old lab. they have been raised together and always gotten along well. About 2 weeks ago the akita has become very aggressive/vicious towards the lab. mainly over food issues. They use to eat side by side. i now have to separate them at meal time. the akita will still gulp down her food and then attack the lab and take his food if given the chance? any advise?

Answer
Well, akitas are naturally aggresive towards other dogs even when they used to get along. Anything can trigger this behavior favortism of the lab more then her could be one of them it could be alot of other things also. You are probaley just going to have to feed them in different places and at different time. you might could try working with them and slowly let them eat together again. i hope this helps
