Question
Hi Leslie,
I am planning a roadtrip through the south with my brother.  We currently
live in California and we have never been to the south before.  We were
thinking about traveling from California to Savannah Georgia, renting a car,
then going from Savannah to Montgomery Alabama and then to Mephis and
then to New Orleans.

If we wanted to pick up a flight to reduce our driving time, which leg would
you recommend we do that in?  We want to really experience Alabama and
someone told me Montgomery is a great place - thoughts?

Answer
Dear Brenley,

From what I can gather, I would recommend a flight from Memphis to New Orleans to reduce driving time. I assume you would turn the car in at Memphis and then rent another car in New Orleans?

After you leave Montgomery on your way to Memphis, make sure to stop in Birmingham. There's a lot of great stuff there too. Of course, I am totally biased since that is my hometown :)

Have a great trip!
