Question
Hi Leslie - thanks for your answers. Wonder if I can ask you one about Gulf Shores?

My family and I (wife, children 11 & 9 years old), would like to visit Gulf Shores around April 10 of this year. Never been there but heard it is beautiful. However, we don't want to get caught-up in the spring break college crowd. Can you tell me if Gulf Shores attracts lots of college spring break students?

Also, is there good snorkeling around Gulf Shores? Thanks for any ideas and help you can provide. I appreciate it!

Tom

Answer
Dear Tom:

I think your family should be fine to visit Gulf Shores in April. I do not think you will run into many college kids. Usually they like to go to the Destin/Ft. Walton area, Panama City Beach, or further south to Daytona and Ft. Lauderdale.

I would check out Alabama's tourism website:

I would also consult the Gulf Shores Public Library about the snorkeling. I am not sure about that one. They would also have a better idea about the college crowd.

Let me know if you have any more questions. Have a great vacation.
