My brother and I are interested in locating a lake lot within 1-2 hours of atlanta.  We actually live about 30 miles south of atlanta.  We already own property in florida, but want to find something we could use on a weekend basis.   We both have campers, and are interested in locating property that we can improve and pour pads to camp.   Is there any property around that is zoned for this type venture ?

Lake Martin I think would be a good choice. It is in Alexander City about 45 minutes north of Auburn.

Here are some real estate agents in Alexander City. They will know about how the property is zoned in that area. Good luck.
