AnswerDear Jackie:
I am not terribly familiar with lakes in Hunstville. I would recommend Lake Guntersville, which is about 45 minutes south of Huntsville.
I would also recommend the following web sites to point you in the right direction:
www.800alabama.com
www.touralabama.org
www.northalabama.org
These sites should get you started. If you have any questions about a specific site, please write again. I have been to Huntsville several times, but it has been a long time. However, I am familiar with some sites in North Alabama if you run across something specific.
Huntsville is a great town and is in a beautiful part of the state. I miss having all the mountains nearby. Currently, I live on a plain--flat, flat, flat.
Good luck with your move. Thanks for writing.
Sincerely,
Leslie
