QuestionHow r u Dana?
Do u know any of the peak positions Alanis' albums & singles have achieved in the US, UK & Oz charts & how long they stayed in that peak position? Thanks a lot!
AnswerHey Scott,
You keep coming up with really good and tough questions :) Okay, let me try my best to answer this one.
I already told you the sales for the albums, so that can go with this sorta. As for "peak" position times, that may be more difficult. But I will splurge and give you everything I know about her singles (USA overall).
Her top 2 selling singles were "Ironic" and "Thank U".
"You Oughta Know" released June 1995, was her lead off the album single which did sell "alot".
"Ironic" was released in March of 1996 and held a nice position at top 10 for quite sometime(2-4 months).
In February of 1997 "All I Really Want" peaked on the Top 40 for a few months as well.
April 1998 "Uninvited" peaks on Top 40, by May it was in the top 10 and eventually in July it was #1.
September 1998 - "Thank U" released, peaked in top 40.
November 1998 - "Thank U" #1 on charts for 4 weeks.
January 1999 - "Unsent" hits the top 40 charts.
By March, "Unsent" is in the top 10.
April 1999 - "Joining You" peaks in Top 40.
July 1999 - "So Pure" peaks on Top 40, by August it is in the top 20.
November 1999 - "That I would be good" is released.
By December, "That I would be Good" hits the Top 40...
Peace, love and Alanis,
Dana
